Last night we shot after hours at the Conran Store, Fulham Rd
We got up to much mischief in the beautiful store with Jo Stobbs performing as the inconvenient Christmas knot. Jamie Richfield shot some beautiful footage and Antoine Breant cast some seductive shadows and glows....extremely excited to see the footage!. Thanks Betsy Smith for staying late at the store and clearing up after us! Thank you Raz Khan for generously lending your 5d, and Hayley Macdonald and Mared Edwards for creating such a beautiful headpiece!

Window is opening on the 1st December where the knot will be performing live in store...look forward to seeing ya'll there!

There was a quarrel with some live swans (mating season so they obviously didn't want to be disturbed) so we had to hire a taxidermy one last minute! But there were also ponies, sweets, tapes, HAIR, chips and gravy, mattresses, flowers, ladders, mushrooms...the list goes on and on!! plus we also got to shoot at the Master Shipwrights house in Deptford which is DREAMY-

I managed to stay a whopping 10 days at Glastonbury helping a friend set up a backstage VIP restaurant called the Muddy Duck! I put my hand to a jigsaw and cut a pleatherer of Ducks out of wood amongst hanging a vast amount of drapery. The restaurant looked great and the food was divine...

One major highlight of my time there was definitely into a private gig of this genius "King Charles" In hospitality

I was asked by design studio 'Studio Fury' to come up with an image to illustrate the word CORE for their monthly calender, which they send out to clients.
I was pleasantly surprised they were not frightened by my idea of using a Pigeon skeleton with a light bulb inside its chest representing the heart. The Heart along with the word "Light", I feel are both symbolic of the word CORE. The lampshade is a nod to the old saying, "The Home is Where the Heart Is".

Shot last week and received in the post this morning!

For my FIRST advertising campaign you could say I was thrown into the deep end of Prop Heaven. Through The Production Department and Creature Creative I set designed, sourced and styled three sets up inspired by different fanatics.
'The Photo Journalist' , 'The Explorer' and 'The Fashionista'. These characters were all chosen relative to the Microsoft Laptop they are presenting-The Photo Journalist's laptop being the one with the best editing software, The Explorers having the best internet explorer facilities and The Fashionistas for being the most 'stylish'

Each set up was PROP heavy to say the least...from reems of fabric, buttons, shoes and sketches owned by the fashionista, to the explorers trophies of wild animals and extreme sports equipment to the extensive range of cameras sourced for the photo journalist...The final images were lush and full with hardly ANY retouching to do in post..

All adverts will be popping up from now on in the Metro newspapers, and magazines such as Grazia etc..etc..

Through my new representation (The Production Department) I art directed, sourced and styled the PAC wardrobe for IKEA FULL of props, imagining it owners were the 'soon-to-be-married" Prince Will and Kate. Unsurprisingly most prop and costume companies had all their ROYAL associated items OUT for other similar advertisements...so it was a tricky one..

..Sadly you cant see the replica engagement ring bought for a budget breaking £7 or the exact copy of the only medal Prince William owns-'For Bravery'....ohhh the exciting details one learns on such jobs!

The Master Shipwrights' House

This is the most incredible location House I have ever shot in.

I discovered it through Studio Fury when it was the suggested location for Nicola Roberts Album shoot (to be released in July) It was a one day shoot and we had to get 12 shots done in various situations around the house. With soo many options from all the beautiful rooms it was just such a pleasure to be set designing such a project. So the following week when we were struggling for a location for the Microsoft Campaign I suggested it to the producer and she too fell in love with it!

We were there for 7 days so it felt like a dream home from home. The house backs off to the River Thames and owns its own part of the dock. It was actually where the first convicts were shipped from the uk to Australia...

This is an outhouse is in their back garden/dock of the thames! It was designed around the reclaimed wood found when developing the house and the surrounding area.

The Twilight Hours

I was the creative director for this event held by "The Tasting Sessions" in The Brunswick Gallery, Russell Square. Champagne was served and tasted at event so was therefor the basis of the concept for the evening. Starting in a restrained manner (akin to a cork in a champagne cage) a performance piece curated by Artist Marnie Hollande "En Pointe" took place, latex wear was adorned by the all performers by William Garner. The theme of restraint continued in the cryptic world of masonic symbolism.. Cloaks were adorned..the crowd wore masks.. the lighting was dark...a crow wandered. The night was hosted my Marcella Puppini..she evoked the reveal with doves and introduced the beautiful Beaux Belles dancing seductively to "Bathing Blossom" from the soundtrack to film "The Secretary". The evening ended in neon bubbles and tipsiness.
I curated sets/costumes and casting. Sound curation and artist liaison by Leslie Deere.

I was recently invited by Jellymongers Bompass and Parr to Art Direct and Co-ordinate their latest venture "The Complete History of Food". I commissioned the lovely ladies from Lighting and Kinglyface and Jiggery pokery to transform various room into periods of time. It was a walk through experience where diners ate and drank their way through time . Each room was hosted one of Londons top chefs from the guys at Bistroteque to Saf. Footprint scenery built a medieval Ship and flooded the basement of the Belgravia house to give a home to the eels of course!

Also along the cobble stones of Covent Garden as well as Draycott Avenue I designed and created the Christmas Windows for Coco De Mer,the Erotic Emporium. With a stable theme holding the gifts of Coco de Mer, Virgin Mary and her Arc Angel Gabrielle stand... The mirror halos on the Angels were made my myself. The crow wing wrist and arm pieces and the african butterfly "Halo" head piece for Mary were created by Sophie Butler. Also featured are suspender jewellery pieces made by Julia Dias.

We created a lovely story based on the concept of getting creative through the recession!...(hence using reused materials and plastics etc...) I managed to pull together some sweet accessories from this nice bit of plastic i found at the allotments at the top of my parents road...take a gander at these..

Perfume and diamonds for Chinas eyes only

This story was never published in the uk but a chinese newspaper suppliment..it was a perfume story using famous designers whom had created perfume and jewellery collections such as Yves Saint Laurent, Cartier etc..etc.i made paper jewellery out of repeated images of the brands label.. (we also had a touch of the real thing in for good measure). It is actually the one and only story i have worked on with both Camilla Pole and Yuval Hen all together!

We shoot at my house (thanks to my forever understanding housemates) with Camilla Pole Styling, Kiroki doing hair and Anita for make up. We worked with white rats (who are surprisingly adorable) within sets i dressed around my home. There was also a bit of illustration on clothing..see if you can spot it...

Since I met Stylist Camilla Pole around a year ago (happy anniversary milly) I have been working on a spot of stylist requistery (styling fashion items as props).. We worked with photographer Adrian Wilson for Tush Magazine creating head pieces out of high end designer sunglasses. Working through from the age of Jazz to futuristic new rave here is what we came up with..

It took 2 days of cutting (thank you Vija) and a fair bit of white paper...but i think you'll agree it was worth it...oh yeah and there was a spot of mirror card flowers which i am sure will reappear in some body adornment very soon..

Early last year i was asked by Charlotte Stockdale to produce some illustrations of cherries that would later be printed on to fabric and then mastered into clothing for Mac (make-up) Fall 2008 campaign. For London Fashion Week, September 2008 I also created installations for Matches boutiques in Ledbury rd, and Marylebone High St, London. There were a total of 5 window installations. Each containing miniature replicas of London monumental sights made from cardboard and coated in GOLD...hmmm very pleasing experience coating a whole world in gold spray paint in a marquee at the back of my garden!

I designed and created London Fashion Week september 2008 windows for Libertys Store, London. Working with the company Bodyline, I designed the transformation of female mannequins into animals such as the Goat, Horse, Panther, Rabbit, Wolf and Bird through hair and make up. These womanimals were placed within their landscapes which then became the glass fronted boxes of Libertys' department store windows. Hannah Perkins wrote a beautiful poem to coincide with the window which Danny Sangra beautifully hand wrote across each window.
